
Change is constant. If you're not changing, are you really living? Major change, however, is where most people have difficulty. So what should you do to keep from going insane during times of major change? I'm NO AUTHORITY, but here is what I am doing to cope with some major change in my life...
- Recognize & accept the change - fighting change causes heartache & stagnation
- Realize that change is good, while still acknowledging any negative feelings about the change (it's okay to feel what you feel)
- Make plans as best you can - this will give you a feeling of stability
- Be like a willow tree, rather than an oak tree (my Mother shared with me). The willow tree flows when high winds blow, the mighty oak tree will break in high wind.
- Meditate/Pray - stay connected with your inner self, higher self & God
You should also:
- Eat a balanced diet and drink plenty of fluids
- Exercise
Change is necessary, and imminent. Do yourself a favor and make friends with it.
